The results are in and Gator Gaming’s summer experiment was a rousing success! Over 150 people came out to the Digital World’s Institute in the Norman Gym to participate in The Beta. For those of you who were out of town and under rocks, Gator Gaming transformed DWI’s Polymodal Immursive theater into a veritable cornucopia of console gaming. The Beta served as a test model for the new console portion of our GatorLAN series which will debut at our next FREE event: Gaming 101, coming to the Reitz Grand Ballroom this August 28th.
The Admins were impressed with the turnout; we got a great test sample of console gamers and collected a lot of data. We received a ton of positive feedback and a bit of constructive criticism, all of which is much appreciated and will be used to improve the console portion of Gaming 101. More importantly, Digital Worlds was happy with the event, and plans are already in the work for additional events with them and their amazing venue. If you have any other comments or questions about the Beta feel free to send a polite email to "this guy", please direct all negative messages with curse words and personal attacks to our president. Bonus points if you make him cry.
Gator Gaming would like to thank our host Digital Worlds, Phillip Asher of EA games, 352 media, Trendy Ent, all the media personnel, our tourney winners, and everyone who came out and made the Beta a noteworthy triumph.
